Three Minute Pause in His Presence

A simple pause. A sacred reset.

There’s a quiet strength in choosing to stop — even for a moment — and remember that God is near. Life pulls at you from every direction, and without realizing it, your mind can drift into hurry, worry, or distraction. But a three‑minute pause creates space for something different: space to breathe, to listen, and to realign your heart with the One who holds your day.

This is the heart behind Come Sit Awhile — that gentle invitation to step away from the noise and settle into a moment with God. It doesn’t take long. Just a few intentional minutes can shift the atmosphere of your mind and steady the pace of your heart. These three minutes become a sacred meeting place, a simple rhythm of returning to Him again and again.

When you step into God’s presence, you’re not trying to earn peace or manufacture calm. You’re simply returning to what’s already true. He is with you. He goes before you. He surrounds you with a love that doesn’t shift with your circumstances. This pause becomes a doorway — a small, sacred moment where your soul remembers what your mind forgets in the rush.

As you breathe deeply, let the noise settle. Let your thoughts slow. Let your heart soften. Whisper a simple prayer if you want: “Lord, I’m here. Meet me in this moment.” You don’t need perfect words. You don’t need a perfect mindset. You just need to show up.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God…" -Isaiah 41:1

In these few minutes, allow God to steady what feels scattered. Let Him remind you that you are held, guided, and deeply known. This pause isn’t wasted time — it’s holy time. It’s the reset your spirit has been craving.

When you step back into your day, carry this truth with you: You are not walking alone. His presence goes with you, and His peace is yours to return to anytime you pause.
