A devotional where you don’t have to earn your place.

This space was created with a simple hope: that you would feel at home the moment you arrive. So many of us move through life feeling like we have to adjust ourselves to fit into the rooms we enter — soften this part, hide that part, speak a little less, smile a little more. It’s exhausting to live as if belonging is something fragile that can be lost with one wrong move. Come Sit Awhile is meant to be the opposite of that. It’s a place where you can settle in without fear of being measured or judged, a place where you can breathe deeply and know you’re welcome just as you are.
This is a home for anyone longing for connection, reflection, and spiritual grounding. Come Sit Awhile is a devotional space where we'll gather to read Scripture, reflect, and grow together in grace. We’ll walk through devotionals together — not as people trying to prove ourselves, but as people already loved and welcomed. There’s no pressure to show up polished or perfect. There’s no expectation that you have all the answers. We come together simply because we’re human, because we’re learning, because we’re seeking, and because God meets us right in the middle of all of that. The journey isn’t about striving; it’s about receiving what’s already been offered.
You don’t have to fit a mold here. You don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to pretend.
Those lines aren’t just comforting phrases — they’re the heartbeat of this space. Life gives us enough places where we feel like we have to perform. Faith shouldn’t be one of them. Here, you’re invited to show up with your questions, your hopes, your doubts, and your joys. This is a place where honesty is welcomed, where growth is gentle, and where your presence matters simply because you’re here.
This is a place to rest, to grow, to ask questions, to be honest, and to be seen. A place where belonging isn’t a reward for performance — it’s the starting point. As we move through devotionals together, God's word will anchor everything we do. You don’t have to work your way into belonging. You begin from belonging. And from that foundation, beautiful things can grow.
